I haven't read fanfic for years. Now I get into SPN and I spend days doing almost nothing else. :| What is wrong with meeeee. I think part of it is that it's been a long time since I was really interested in a large fandom with a good variety of fic.
Anyway, the point of this is that a new word was added to my fandom vocabulary today. "Whump" is when a character gets the crap kicked out of them for... well, the sake of seeing them get the crap kicked out of them. It's like hurt/comfort, but without the comfort! Now that I have a name for it, I can say that my favorite types of fanfic are h/c and whump. :x I feel somewhat guilty.
Also I just found out that The Slip by NIN is free to download. You know, more than year after they released it. In other news, I am absolutely terrible at keeping up with any band I like. I'm lucky when I found out about a new CD a few months after it's released.
