GRAHGRHARGH
Jul. 9th, 2009 08:44 pmI have been in some kind of serious paper-writing funk this whole semester. I still hated writing them last semester, but I could still pound out a 3 pager in about an hour. Now, I open up Word and FREEZE. I think the reasons are A) my professor is super nitpicky and b) I think I picked a bad research topic. I WANTED TO DO SOMETHING WITH THE INTERNET, but now I'm thinking I should have just gone with like... global warming. Something easy with lots of research available on it. I'm 90% sure I'm going to change again (FOR THE FOURTH TIME) because the thought of writing one on my current topic is making me wince. List of possible topics: Net Neutrality, Violence & Video Games, Internet Censorship.
If none of those pan out, I will hit global warming or something IDK.
In other news, I got a scholarship! I was really not expecting to get it and dragged my feeth through the whole application. Now I'm rather interested in signing up for more, but since most of them require essays and I'm already drowning in homework... yeah, that'll have to wait. Possibly until the semesters over, by which I will have missed the deadlines on several, but oh well. I only need one essay driving me up the wall at a time, thanks.
Also, I feel less competent in Math, baawww. I keep forgetting stupid stuff! But hopefully things will work out. Though I will be super pissed if the special College Algebra course I signed up for in the fall doesn't get enough students. I'll still have the class, since it'll just turn into a normal class, but seriously... The only reason I signed up for a class at 9:30am is because it's geared towards people majoring in math-related fields.
