Just when I'm thinking about staying up all night to write the paper that's due tomorrow (lol), I see an article about how much sleep we really need. It claims that instead of the reccomended eight hours, most need only seven. It then goes on to tell you how you can test this by sleeping for certin amounts of time.

LOL

The problem is, the test assumes that you can control your sleeping schedule, and you don't have crazy bouts of insomnia where for several days you sleep 5< hours, and then you spend several days making up for it by sleeping <10. :| UNFORTUNATELY I AM IN THE LATTER PART. ;____;

Aaahhhh if I don't finish this I'll fail aahhhhh.

It's time for another round of Things I Should Be Doing vs. Things I Am Doing.

THINGS I SHOULD BE DOING:
  • Math Homework. I'm way behind and if I have to turn it in on Thursday, I am pretty much screwed!
  • ...Okay, it's just the math homework.

THINGS I AM DOING:
  • Making backgrounds for my iPhone out of pictures from DA (it's addictive).
  • Playing P4. I started a new game and GOD HELP ME I WILL FINISH IT. I have such a problem finishing RPGs because after a while they get so very complicated and then I long for something simple.
  • W...Watching Torchwood? I found out that miniseries is airing here on the 20th, so I figured I'd power through two seasons before then since I've been meaning to watch it anyway. I have run into two problems. 1) Apparently the BBC does not have as many commercial breaks in one hour as American channels, because the episodes are almost an hour long and not like, 40 min. 2) Gwen is hitting my embarassment squick really hard. Even harder than DW's audience surrogate, the companion.
  • IMPATIENTLY WAITING FOR 9:30 SO I CAN GO TO THE PARTY AT THE MOVIE THEATER FOR HBP. Aaaahhh, so excited. And terrified. Dear lord, there are four sold out theaters. I will not even be able to move.

And I think, with this, I'm going to move this journal to being my main journal. I'll probably just use my LJ for commenting, and... IDK about the IS. Of course, IS may be gone soon, so it may not matter. I really like posting on my DW for some reason.

I feel terrible. :( I was feeling so good earlier today, too. I feel like maybe I should turn in early, but for some reason that feels like a waste of time...?

Decided to finally buckle down and buy Viva Pinata: Trouble in Paradise. It was $30 half a year ago, and it still is now, so I figure it's passed the point where the price will continue to drop and entered the point where it becomes rare. The nearest Gamestop that has it is about 15 minutes away. Hopefully I'll make it there tomorrow. Right now they're having a buy 2 get 1 free sale on used games. If they have ToS: DotNW and another game >$30, I might take them up on that deal.

I really want to do something, but I want it to be something that doesn't require much thought... Nngh.

WILL UPDATE WITH CHOICES LATER or maybe tomorrow, if I go to sleep. MADE VALIANT ATTEMPTS AT SLEEPING, but they ultimately failed. I'm only tired until I actually get into bed. So I slept to around 3pm today. And after my sickness steadily improved for the past few days, I'm pretty much the same as yesterday, which cockblocked my cleaning efforts since my brain feels like it's moving through molasses and I sneeze every ten minutes.
fallout: (? confusion and bemusement)
My mom tells me it's because I don't get to sleep early enough, but I think I make up for it by never waking up before noon. I love those Chloraseptic throat/cough lozenges because they work so well (10 mg of menthol! Not that silly 3 or 4 mg that other lozenges have!) and I usually think they taste delicious (I used to hate the taste of menthol, but now I love it), but I'm actually starting to get sick of them.

My room-cleaning efforts have since been stalled by the fact that I am coughing and sneezing plenty without dust flying in my face. I'm hoping to finish my shelves tonight and maybe tackle the closet with some help tomorrow. Really, cleaning out the closet will solve my biggest problem, which is the lack of space in which to store things. Most of the stuff in my closet is boxes from stuff I kept "just in case." Though most of those have been kept long beyond the "just in case" period. I can see the box for my old white iPod that died over four years ago.

Terminator Salvation wasn't playing in IMAX, so it looks like I'll be using my raincheck ticket to see Harry Potter. I'm kind of happy about it, because while TS was a good movie, it wasn't great. I'll have a review up on the IS later.

I'm currently working through the first bullet point on my list post a few entries down (you'll notice I've only managed to cross off two things... gj, me). This music organizing is part of a larger computer organizing that I want to do. I have tons of stuff on this thing that I don't even like anymore, and the only thing that's stopping me from deleting it is the daunting task of sorting through all the crap that I was too lazy to name/folder properly.

Though the music comes first out of necessity: my collection has far outgrown the HD on my Touch, so I have to be a bit more choosy. It's not quite as hard as I thought it would be, actually. I really don't use playlists very much anymore because when my old iPod died (I had a lot of playlists on it) I used my brother's Nano, which didn't have any playlists on it, and I was too lazy to recreate my old ones. So I got into the habit of listening to albums. This is what I do now on my Touch. Because of this, I tend to cycle through them, and listen to 5-7 albums exclusively for a month. And of course I rarely like the whole album and almost always skip the same songs, so it's pretty easy to get rid of those.

The icon you see here is one I made! I'm terribly proud of it. Even looking at the icons when I started this set (of the first chapter of IR), the improvements I've made are obvious. I'm especially proud of my shading abilities. The one thing that worries me is that the icon looks awfully light and washed out against the darkness of my journal layout... but it looks just fine against the gray of the normal DW layout. Hm. Well, hopefully most people will be looking at them with a gray or white background, so it won't be a problem.
